Statistical Modelling of Home Advantage and Away Disadvantage of Turkish Super League Teams

It is a fact that for all sports branches, being home or away one of the most critical factors influencing outcome game. Although there are many studies on Home Advantage (HA), these have been made specifically leagues as whole, and number examining HA at team level quite limited. In this study, disadvantage (AD) values were calculated, using Poisson regression, each played least 3 seasons in Turkish Super League between 2000/2001 2021/2022 seasons, based goals they scored conceded their matches. According to results 32 34 teams included analysis found advantage statistically varied 56.2% 81.8%. Evaluations AD determined ranged 46.7% 65.4% only 9 did not an league.
